Bodies of Work Collection
I am pleased to announce the
opening of /BODIES OF WORK/ at the Anne
C. Fisher Gallery in the historical Georgetown of Washington DC. 1 of my picture
from the painting collection is at the exhibition.
Photographer Adrienne Mills exhibits her collaborations with
painters in which she creates nude photographic studies of the human body,
exploring line and color, while blurring the lines between reality and fantasy,
and boundaries of culture. Abstract painter Jean Beebe exhibits
assemblages combining painting, collage and found objects, and retouched inkblot
prints in which she comments, often humorously, on the traditional and modern
feminine mind and body and women’s social roles.
The exhibition opens with a reception on
Friday, January 20 to February 11 from 6-8 pm - Open to the public.
Bodypaint demo/gallery talk Saturday, January 28, 1 pm
& 4 pm.
